CINCIN Wine Bar And Grill | Elegant Dining @ Cheras Kuala Lumpur

CINCIN Wine Bar And Grill is one of the latest Western dining restaurants in Cheras which is located at No 1, Jalan 1/119, Taman Bukit Hijau, Cheras, 56100, Kuala Lumpur.

For those of you staying in Cheras; you need not travel all the way to downtown Kuala Lumpur to taste some of the special price wine collection that is available from CINCIN. At CINCIN if you are a newbie to wine appreciation, you can seek the assistance of their staff to recommend it to you.

We were told that you can keep your unfinished wine at CINCIN which is marked by a special cork. The concept of CINCIN Wine Bar And Grill is also to educate its customers about the etiquette of wine appreciation and drinking. You can also purchase your wine at the restaurant. Check out for their latest promotion from the CINCIN facebook page.

Whether it is a party, gathering with friends & family or special function like birthday and anniversary, you would find CINCIN Wine Bar And Grill a perfect venue to host your memorable event.

We were there to celebrate my wedding anniversary with a full course dinner with wine pairing starting with the Caesar Salad which is topped with Smoked Salmon and paired with a glass of Viognier and Arinto (2015).

Next; our soup for the evening is a Clear Soup with Truffle Oil. Cooked with a combination of different mushroom which includes the Shitake mushroom, and infused with a strong aroma of the truffle oil when it arrives at our table. A simple start to our dinner.

After the soup; we were served an appetizer which is Grilled Portobello With Bacon and Cheese. The melted cheese encapsulate with the fried bacon and marries with the strong taste of the grilled porto bello mushroom.

For the main course: I ordered the Grill Lamb Rack with Red Wine Rosemary Sauce and paired with a glass of Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (2015). It is a special concoction of the various blend of wine that has a nice aftertaste in the mouth especially when it was drunk after a bite size of the grilled lamb meat.

As for my other half, she was served the Poach Salmon With a White Wine Broth which was paired with Viognier and Arinto (2015). Compare to the Lamb Rack that I had, this dish has a more subtle and clear taste. You can enjoy the natural taste of the slightly salty mushroom broth which brings out the flavours of the wine.

For desserts, I had the Green Tea Creme Brulee, which was elaborately decorated with blossoms of flowers.

While my other half had the Ballerina, which is a meringue ball with gelato-like ice cream which has a slightly vinegarette taste of the lime.  Loves this refreshing dessert to end a memorable anniversary dinner.

Currently, CINCIN Wine and Grill is running the following Buy 1 free 1 wine promotion
Cava RM 38++
Red wine RM 28++
White wine RM 28++

If you are staying in the surrounding Cheras area, you might want to impress your date with nice dinner at CINCIN. Coincidentally CINCIN is an Italian word for CHEERS. So CINCIN up to a  great time at CINCIN.

For this coming Christmas, you can celebrate this festivity with your family and friend at CINCIN. You can check out the Christmas dinner promotion on their facebook page

Durian King TTDI 榴莲王 - Durian Season 2017 Is Here

Durian is one of the most prized fruits in Malaysia. This year 2017 has been a year where Durian prices have skyrocketed to more than RM100.00 per kg for Musang King during the pre-season.

The other reason for the price increase was due to the China factor; we last heard that Musang King was selling as high as RM500.00 per kg in China.

Now as the season progress, you can now enjoy the King of Fruits that have come down to reasonably priced. We got to taste the Musang King at Durian King TTDI recently which they are retailing at RM53.00 per kg.

Hopefully, as the season progress, we can get to enjoy a more sumptuous feast of the Malaysian treats. Do check out the prices from Durian TTDI facebook page for the latest prices.

One of the other treats at Durian King TTDI is the availability of the Black Thorn species with its pungent flavour, thick and meaty texture is a must for me.

At Durian King TTDI, you can request to be served the Chilled Whole Durian; it gives you that extra kick especially for those that love to eat Durian that is kept in the fridge. The difference is that this whole Durian which is kept chilled has a firmer texture compared to those that are kept in the fridge (which tends to be a little mushy).

Another specialty at Durian King TTDI is the the Durian Cendol which for me is a must taste. From RM15.00 per bowl with a scoop of Durian.

For those that like to know how to spot a Musang King and Black Thorn can refer to our previous link.

On these two special nights, both clubs were amazingly packed with ravers flooring in at late hours to feel the cold glass of Asahi Super Dry in their hands, tasting the refreshing brew as they reeled in the vivid neon lights accompanied by the deep house beats of DJ LICCA. Besides Tangkak Famous Food - What Else To Do In Tangkak Johor

Tangkak (东甲) Johor is also known as "Fabric Town" or "Syurga Kain" in honour of its many textile shops. Many people know that Tangkak most famous food is the Tangkak Beef Noodles. If you are making a visit to Muar, you can pop by Tangkak to taste some of this popular dishes here. You can read about our Muar food trip from this link

Besides the textile and food, Tangkak, Johor is also known for the treatment of skin allergy by Klinik Pakar Dr Wong Tangkak which is located along the main street of the Tangkak town. There are many people who have special skin allergy seeking treatment from this clinic.

On our trip to Tangkak recently, we explore some of the popular food that is served in this town. While searching for the Tangkak Beef Noodles, we found a Tong Kee Bak Kut Teh shop which is just the next door to the Tangkak Beef Noodles shop.

At the entrance, the strong aroma of the Bak Kut Teh captivates our senses and we decided to try it out (as we like to explore some options).

We ordered a bowl of Bak Kut Teh and a clay pot of dried Bak Kut Teh. We the Bak Kut Teh arrives although the aroma was strong it lacks the strong flavour of herbs that we like. I would rate it as an in-between version of the Kuala Lumpur and Klang version.

After that, we make way to the next door shop where we ordered the Kuang Fei Tangkak Beef Noodles. Taste-wise, it was as expected, nothing much to really shout about,

At RM8.00, the portion of the noodles was way too little for a town offering comparing to my favouriteTangkak Beef Noodle in Taman OUG which is RM8.50 for a small bowl, but having a meat portion that was much more than the one at Tangkak.

We ordered 2 bowl one which is, the first one was the mixed ingredient while the second was just beef balls. We order one takeaway with mix ingredient plus an add-on of 4 beef balls. When we reach home, they beef ball was missing end up we paid RM12.00 for this takeaway (felt cheated although the boss specifically asks me how many beef ball I wanted to add). Next, we made a visit to a few textile shop along the main road of Tangkak to look around on some of the offerings.

We were told that Tangkak also has a shop that sells this Roti Terbang. We decided to check it out from the Internet which later we found that they have moved out. A check with one of the staff at a textile shop says that they have since moved out to the next kampung which she gave us the direction.

We manage to locate this shop and was lucky as it is just opening its shop at around 4pm. We were treated to the flying Roti Canai performance. Apparently, this Pak Cik is very famous as even Martin Yan has featured him in one of its TV programs recently.

Overall, the trip was nothing extraordinary for the food that we tasted at Tangkak but nevertheless, it was a nice experience to visit this little town.
